About
Who We Are
Since 1990, we have been the Mat-Su Valley’s first and longest-operating Adult Day Services program, supporting adults living with Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders (ADRD), developmental disabilities, and brain injuries. We provide a safe, supervised, and engaging environment where participants can take part in structured social, recreational, and therapeutic activities. Our mission is to promote honor, dignity, security, and independence for older Alaskans, helping them maintain meaningful and fulfilling lives. We are also committed to supporting caregivers by offering information, resources, and respite services.
Our Staff
Our dedicated and caring staff are at the heart of the Adult Day Services program. Each year, they participate in training to learn new strategies and best practices for supporting your loved one with the highest level of care. But beyond their training, what truly sets them apart is their compassion, patience, and genuine commitment to each participant’s well-being. Every day, they bring not only their skills but also their hearts—creating a safe, welcoming environment where individuals feel valued, respected, and supported.

how To Join
Each participant begins with an in-person assessment to determine the appropriateness of the program for their needs. This assessment results in an individualized service plan designed to help the participant maintain their optimal level of functioning. The plan is developed in collaboration with the participant, caregivers, family members, and care coordinators to ensure the best possible support.
We invite everyone to tour our program and even join us for lunch to see if we’re the right fit. Our goal is for every participant to feel welcome, safe, and happy while in our care. Program costs are based on a sliding scale fee, and Medicaid Waivers are accepted.
What We Provide
-
Socialization
We believe connection is essential to well-being. Our Adult Day Services program creates opportunities for participants to build friendships, share stories, and enjoy meaningful activities together. From group discussions and reminiscing circles to lively parties, music sessions, arts and crafts, and classic favorites like Bingo, there’s always something engaging to encourage laughter, creativity, and community.
-
Exercise
Staying active is vital for both physical health and mental sharpness. Each day, participants can take part in guided chair exercises, group games, and memory activities designed to strengthen the body while stimulating the mind. These activities are tailored to meet a variety of ability levels, ensuring everyone can participate comfortably while maintaining strength, mobility, and cognitive skills.
-
Nutrition
We understand that good nutrition supports overall health, but mealtimes also create important opportunities for connection. Our program provides daily morning and afternoon snacks, plus a hot, nutritious lunch that meets dietary guidelines. Coffee and tea are always available, making mornings a welcoming time for conversation, laughter, and companionship around the table.
